Tire pressure for load

Cold pressure for the weight a corner actually carries, rather than the placard figure for the tires the truck left the factory on.

An approximation of the manufacturer’s load-inflation table, not a replacement for it. Never exceed the sidewall maximum.

From a scale, loaded as you travel. Front and rear differ.

Moulded into the sidewall.

The pressure at which that max load applies.

Max load and max pressure are moulded into the sidewall; corner load comes off a scale. Without all three this would be a confident number for a tire we know nothing about.

What it needs

  • Load on this corner (lb), required — From a scale, loaded as you travel. Front and rear differ.
  • Tire max load (lb), required — Moulded into the sidewall.
  • Tire max pressure (psi), required — The pressure at which that max load applies.
